Former Men At Work singer Colin Hay is heading home to Australia next month to play a few shows in support of his new album ‘Gathering Mercury’.
‘Gathering Mercury’ is the 11th solo album for Hay. This record was inspired by the loss of his father.
Hay performed four sold out shows in New York earlier this month and will bring the songs to Australia from May 20 starting with a benefit show on the Sunshine Coast for the Queensland flood victims.
“I’m having a great time touring this album around the US at the moment and I’m looking forward to coming down to Oz in May for my album launches,” he said in a statement. “I can’t wait to catch up with friends and family and share the new music with my Australian fans. I was shocked to see the recent devastation in Queensland and want to do what I can to help and I'm pleased to be able to include a special fundraiser gig at Joe’s Waterhole."
Colin Hay tour dates are:
May 20, Sunshine Coast, Qld, Joe’s Waterhole, Eumundi
May 22, Melbourne, Vic, The Corner Hotel Richmond
May 24, Sydney, NSW, The Basement
