Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society have signed a deal directly with Sydney based label Riot Act.
“John and the Riot team have done the BLS camp proud down under,” Wylde said in a statement. “We’re glad to be back with our Aussie brothers and sisters and look forward to tearing it up in Australia in early 2011.”Riot have released every Black Label Society album with the exception of one and now with a direct deal signed, it looks like they’re going to release a lot more.
Wylde started his musical career as guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, first playing on his 1988 album ‘No Rest For The Wicked’ at the age of 21. He formed Black Label Society in 1998 after the disbandment of the short lived Pride and Glory and one solo album entitled ‘Book Of Shadows’.
We can expect new material, and, as Wylde said in his statement, an Australian tour sometime in the next twelve months.
