Josh Hisle is a former marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq. He was featured by Neil Young in the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young film Deja Vu and now Josh is signed to Young`s Vapor Records who together with Michael G. Ronstadt is known as Lost In Holland.
Lost In Holland showcased music from the Vapor Records Hearts and Minds album on the opening night of SXSW.The next day, Josh popped over to our hotel to tell us not only the Lost In Holland story but also the Josh Hisle story.
For many, the story of his life will be hard to comprehend. It sounds like a movie plot but it is real. Josh went to Iraq twice and was proud to fight for his country but very quickly saw the war for the sham it was.
Music became his outlet. Unlike other soldiers, Josh could channel is anger into song.
Via CNN, he came to the attention of Neil Young who invited Josh to jam in his hotel, the results you may have seen in the Deja Vu movie.
