Muse won the best band award from NME beating Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian to take home the award.
They won Best British Band award at the Shockwaves NME Awards last night (February 24).The indie rockers band beat off competition from Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro and Oasis to win the award.
"That's a genuine surprise..." said frontman Matt Bellamy. "It's very humbling to win that award against the Monkeys, Kasabian. [And] great to receive it from a couple of music legends."
They received the prize at London's O2 Academy Brixton from guest presenters Lily Allen and Slash.
