When Ry Cooder visited Cuba in the 1990`s he discovered a sound that had been around for most of the century in Havana and introduced it to the world. That was the sound of the Buena Vista Social Club.
At Bluesfest 2010, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club will play that music for Australia.Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club features Grammy Award winning guitarist Manuel Galban and the unique trumpet style of Guajiro Mirabal.
As well as the Bluesfest performance, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club will perform sideshows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Anyone who buys a ticket to any Bluesfest sideshow can enter to go in the draw to win two tickets to any Bluesfest sideshow anywhere in Australia.
Bluesfest is on over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay.
