Former US President has undergone heart surgery to have two more stents inserted after he was rushed to hospital earlier today with chest pains.
In a statement his advisor Douglas Band said, “Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest. Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his coronary arteries”.The former President has been involved in recent weeks working on the Haiti relief program.
The 63-year old President and two-time Grammy Award winner had quadruple coronary artery bypass surgery in 2004 and complications six months later. He also had an operation of his lungs in 2005.
