Contrary to popular opinion, it would seem adopting African children isn't the key to marital bliss, with British reports suggesting that Madonna and director husband Guy Ritchie were involved in a heated argument at a posh London eatery over the weekend.
According to the ever-reputable 'Daily Mirror' tabloid, the couple were dining at Italian restaurant Cecconi in upmarket Mayfair when the row broke out, with Ritchie complaining that his pop-star wife was too "controlling". This comes after recent reports that the pair were planning on visiting Tricia Barnes, one of the UK's top marriage counsellors.A fellow diner told the tabloid, "The atmosphere between them was more than frosty. Guy was the one who was raising his voice most - you couldn't help but hear what he was saying.
"They were sitting in a corner booth and he was telling her that he'd had enough of her being controlling all the time and that something had to give."
When Madonna tried to rebuke her husband, he would just talk over her, according to the nosy witness, who went on to claim the unhappy couple left after an hour-and-a-half.
