Randy Jackson has had his say about why he, or his brothers were not at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
“So proud, my brother being honored 2nite w/the Lifetime Achievement Award. My family would love to be there but truth is, we weren’t invited,” he said in a Twitter post earlier today.“Do u want more truth?” he twittered soon after. “Let me be clear, when I said “My family” I meant my brothers, sisters & parents”.
Michael’s children Prince Michael 1 and Paris did go on stage to honor their father. Michael’s mother Katherine looked after his youngest child Blanket back stage.
Michael performed posthumously from the show with a new 3-D video of ‘Earth Song’ premiering at the show with Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Usher singing live along with it.
“First of all we’d like to thank God for watching over us for the past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support,” said Michael’s eldest son Prince, who was introduced by singer Lionel Ritchie.
“Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year... Thank you, we love you daddy,” Paris added.
