Mary J. Blige has dominated the Billboard Music Awards, taking home nine awards, including R&B/Hip-Hop artist of the year.
The 35-year-old dominated the R&B/Hip-Hop categories, also taking out the R&B/Hip-Hop album of the year (for 'The Breakthrough') as well as R&B/Hip-Hop song of the year (for 'Be Without You'). American Idol's Carrie Underwood won five awards, including album of the year (for 'Some Hearts') and artist of the year.Rapper T.I. also won five awards, dominating the Rap category, garnering Rap artist of the year and Rap album of the year awards (for 'King').
Chris Brown, Rihanna, Nickelback and The Fray also figured in the prizes. Rihanna, who won the award for Best Female Artist, said in her acceptance speech, "I really can't feel my legs, this is phenomenal. That was a really tough category."
Tony Bennett was honoured with the Billboard Century Award at the event which took place Monday night at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
