It is official. Simon Cowell will leave his creation American Idol to launch an American version of X-Factor.
The UK X-Factor have the world Leona Lewis and Cowell plans to find an American version of the British pop star through the Fox Network.“I??m thrilled that we have put a date on the launch of the U.S. version of 'The X Factor', and delighted to be continuing to work with Fox," Cowell said in a statement. "We have a fantastic relationship, a great team and are all very excited about this."
American Idol starts its 9th season tomorrow night. Cowell will stay unti, the end of the season.
