More Big Day Out sideshows have been announced, with Lily Allen, Hot Chip, Spank Rock & Diplo, The Streets, John Cooper Clarke and Lupe Fiasco all set to play club shows alongside their festival dates.
The sassy and opinionated Lily Allen - who had a brief liaison with Australian audiences in August - brings her streetwise pop to Brisbane's Arena on 22 January, Sydney's Luna Park on 24 January and Melbourne's Metro on 29 January.Allen's been called the "female Mike Skinner" - punters can judge for themselves when The Streets play Sydney's The Metro on 27 January and Melbourne's Prince Of Wales on 1 February.
British indie-electro darlings Hot Chip hit Sydney's Beck's Festival Bar on 27 January, and Melbourne's Corner Hotel on 30 January.
Spank Rock & Diplo promise to bring their dirty electro-hop party to Sydney's Metro on 24 January and Melbourne's Prince Of Wales on 29 January.
Poet laureate John Cooper Clarke brings his Kerouac- and Ginsberg-informed punk musings to Sydney's The Basement on 26 January and Melbourne's National Theatre on 30 January.
And one of the hottest young names in hip hop, Lupe Fiasco, is set to wow audiences at Sydney's The Metro on 23 January, and Melbourne's Prince Of Wales on 26 January.
Tickets for all shows go on sale 15 December, except for Lily Allen which goes on sale 8 December.
