A fish and chip shop in the South Coast of New South Wales had a celebrity guest on Monday when Matt Damon dropped in to order his minimum chips or was it an imposter?
The Hollywood actor was reported to be on vacation abroad the luxury cruise liner The World that anchored at Bateman’s Bay earlier this week bit according to US reports, he is in Boston. The real or fake Damon popped into town to grab a bite at the Batehaven Fish Shop and tried out their vodka dipping sauce, says the Daily Telegraph.
Last night he spent the night on Sydney Harbour watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks.
The World cruise ship will leave Sydney tomorrow and head north to Queensland and the Whitsundays.
The real mate Damon will be seen in two movies this year. (At least we assume it is the real one). ‘Margaret’ is about a young woman who witnesses a bus crash and is caught up in the aftermath. In ‘Green Zone’ Damon will play a rogue U.S. army officer.
He is also currently working on the Coen Brothers film remake ‘True Grit’ playing La Boeuf. Glen Campbell played the character in the original 1969 movie starring John Wayne.
