Andy Nicholson, formerly of Arctic Monkeys, will become a permanent member of Reverend and the Makers.
Singer Jon McClure posted on Twitter “Im made up to let u no my brother andy Nicholson @andulus will be joining rev ad the makers in the new year. Get ready pal”.The news sent Reverend and the Makers fans into a bit of a spin thinking Ed Cosens was out but McClure later posted “no way is ed leaving. Me and him are blood”.
Reverend and the Makers have one of those inconsistent stories as only UK bands can do. The band was all but broken up after drummer Richy Wesley left in 2008 and McClure said he was quitting music. It didn’t happen.
Nicholson left Arctic Monkeys in 2006 and has been playing unofficially with Reverend and the Makers and McClure’s other band Mongrel since that time.
