The February tour calendar is already filling up with announcements from Scissor Sisters and Damien Rice.
New York's glamorous disco peacocks Scissor Sisters visited us for July's Splendour In The Grass festival. Their single solo show in Sydney sold out in under two hours and the critics and punters raved. Their second album 'Ta Dah' shot to number one in Australia on the back of the sassy 'Don't Feel Like Dancing' single.They've locked in the following dates: Newcastle's Entertainment Centre on February 1, Brisbane's Riverstage on February 3, Sydney's Entertainment Centre on February 5, Adelaide's Entertainment Centre on February 8 and at Melbourne's Vodafone Arena on February 9. Tickets go on sale early December.
Also, Irish balladeer Damien Rice, is heading our way. He's responsible for the understated album 'O' which has been gaining acclaim over the years since its release in 2002 and the recent '9' album which was described by Music Week as "the break-up album of 2007".
He'll tug heartstrings at the following shows: Fremantle Arts Centre on February 15, Adeliade's Thebarton Theatre on February 17, Melbourne's The Palais on February 19, Sydney's Enmore on February 22 and Brisbane's The Tivoli on February 25. Tickets go on sale December 5.
