Rivers Cuomo has made a road trip home from New York back to Los Angeles after being released from hospital after last weeks bus crash.
The Weezer singer was unable to fly because of damage done to his lung in the accident.Rivers’ wife, daughter and nanny flew home while, ironically, Rivers had to bus it back to LA.
The trip from Albany, New York to Los Angeles is a 48-hour ride.
Instead of a straight line across the United States, the bus went down the I-95 to Washington, then onto the 81. They travelled through Virginia into Tennessee and then onto the I-40 to Texas.
From Texas, it was along the 30 to the 20 to the 10 and then onto LA where he arrived safe at home around midday Sunday.
Weezer.com webmaster Karl reports that the reason the bus headed south to avoid bad weather.
It amuse themselves on the journey, reading material on the bus was the Ray Charles biography ‘Ray’ and the book about the music industry ‘Appetite For Self Destruction’ in between episodes of Mad Men.
