Portishead have released a new song for the benefit of human rights group Amnesty International.
The song is called ‘Chase The Tear’ and is a synth-driven kraut-ish tune that sounds like nothing the band have ever done before.Beth Gibbons’ haunting vocals over an analogue-fueled electro beat give the tune the kind of dark-pop sound that early Depeche Mode singles were renowned for.
Head on over to 7 Digital to download the track.
You can check out the video here, but before you decide to be a cheapskate and just be satisfied with that, remember it’ll only set you back a buck or two to download it and all proceeds go to Amnesty International.
