Veteran singers Bob Valentine and Rhonda Burchmore have launched their tune 'That's Melbourne', a tribute to the City of Gardens.
Undercover, along with a veritable who's who of showbiz and media types, were treated to a performance of the song at the picturesque Portico at the Town Hall, the balcony famously used by The Beatles to greet their fans in 1964. Valentine and Burchmore were accompanied by the That's Melbourne Big Band, with an arrangement by Jordan Murray. The tune started out as a radio jingle penned by Mike Brady, who MC'd the launch. Melbourne Lord Mayor the Right Honourable John So lauded the performers, telling the crowd, "they're singing a song that truly reflects the passion of the city, a song that comes from the heart - That's Melbourne!'.
'That's Melbourne' features on a Bob Valentine and Rhonda Burchmore's new CD, 'Together Alone'.
