The current Weezer US tour has been cancelled following the bus crash that left singer Rivers Cuomo in a far worse condition that originally thought.
The Weezer tour bus was carrying Rivers, his wife and daughter, their assistant and nanny.At around 7:18am, about 40 miles west of Albany in the I-90, the driver lost control of the vehicle after it hit a patch of black ice.
Both Rivers and his assistant Sarah were badly hurt but his wife, daughter and the nanny escaped unharmed.
Rivers was tossed violently and cracked three ribs. Sarah suffered two broken ribs and a fractured vertebrae. The jaws of life were required to remove them from the bus as the bus door was jammed shut with 5 feet of mud pressed against it.
Sarah has now been discharged from nearby St Mary’s hospital in Amsterdam, New York but Rivers is still in hospital under observation.
The December Raditude tour has now been cancelled.
