The first line-up announcement for the 18th annual East Coast Blues & Roots Festival in Byron Bay has been announced with John Mayer, Dave Matthews and Bonnie Raitt leading the field.

The music festival at Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia will be held over the Easter long weekend, April 5 to April 9.

Festival director Peter Noble said, "We feel like we're really hitting a groove with the festival now, and it's great to be recognised at home and internationally. Sometimes the stars align, and with the line-up for 2007, we're incredibly happy with the fantastic, diverse artists that will be playing".

The first round of artists are: Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Missy Higgins, Wolfmother, Bonnie Raitt, Bo Diddley, Taj Mahal, Tony Joe White, The Roots, Lee Scratch Perry, Kasey Chambers, John Butler Trio, Fat Freddy's Drop, Refugee all Stars of Sierra Leone, ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra), Fishbone, Gomez, Fred Eaglesmith & the Flying Squirrels, Keiran Kane & Kevin Welch, The Waifs, Feist, Ben Kweller, Floggin' Molly, Go Go Bordello, Xavier Rudd.

  3. Watch John Mayer s Music Video With Prancercise Star Joanna Rohrback

“Prancercize,” creator Joanna Rohrback has teamed up with John Mayer, so get ready to “Romancercize.” In the video for Mayer’s new single “Paper Doll,” you get to read the lyrics to Mayer’s song as they flash across the screen. Lyrics that , according to some mean nasty haters out there, may be aimed at Mayer’s reported ex, Taylor Swift. Not only is the number “22″ mentioned (the title of one of Swift’s songs), but there’s another lyric, “Someone’s gonna paint you another sky,” that seems directly aimed at Swift’s line “You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain,” from her song, “Dear John.” That last song was allegedly aimed at Mayer and their messy breakup.
