George Michael will be coming to Melbourne after all.
Promoter Paul Dainty has managed to negotiate a deal with Etihad Stadium for a George Michael concert in Melbourne for Wednesday March 3.Etihad Stadium was at the centre of a brawl with the AFL over the AC/DC shows recently following an 18-month dispute between the football clubs and the venue.
That was finally resolved on September 29 but the result was that the AFL had say over what the venue was used for during football season.
The George Michael shows fall with football games, and therefore a midweek compromise to allow George to play at Etihad on a Wednesday was finally given the go ahead one week after the Perth and Sydney shows were announced.
Tickets for the Melbourne show will go on sales on December 16 while the Sydney and Perth shows go on sale on December 8.
