George Michael will perform two shows in Australia in February but only in Sydney and Perth.
Melbourne was bumped from the tour because of the unavailability of Etihad Stadium, the venue that recently was the centre of a dispute over the AC/DC concert.Promoter Paul Dainty in announcing the shows said, “It is thrilling to bring George Michael to Australia again, he toured here on the Faith tour in 1988. He is a consummate performer and will deliver a stunning show to his fans who have waited 22 years to see him perform in Australia”.
Michael’s last shows were in 2007 and 2008 for the 25 Live Tour that has just been released on DVD through Sony Music.
On 25 Live, Michael played 49 shows arena and 30 stadium dates before 2 million people across Europe and the United States.
George Michael dates are:
February 20, Perth, Members Equity Stadium
February 26, Sydney, Football Stadium
