Drummer Jimmy Chamberlin has described as 'magnifient' the work done thus far on Smashing Pumpkins' comeback album. Though he would say that, wouldn't he?
In a blog on the band's MySpace site, Chamberlin wrote, "Yes, things are sounding great my friends. Today we will be working on vocals and solos, tomorrow, who knows. We are channelers. Sonic students."He was mighty complimentary of frontman Billy Corgan's guitar parts, adding, "BC pulled off a magnificent guitar symphony last night and it is still ringing in my ears this morning. Eight guitars resonating in one big harmonic handshake!"
The album, set for release in 2007, will the first since 2000's 'MACHINA/The Machines Of God' for the seminal 90s alternative outfit.
