A tour bus carrying the entourage of Miley Cyrus has crashed in Virginia, killing the driver Bill Douglas.
Miley wasn’t on that bus but was travelling on another bus in a convoy on the way to her next gig.A statement from the Cyrus family reads, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill 'Uncle Bill' Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed."
The Cyrus entourage was using four buses to transport tour staff to Greensboro, North Carolina for a show on Sunday. At around 8:15am Friday, it ran off the road, hit an embankment and overturned.
Bill Douglas was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 911 call seemed to indicate that Douglas had suffered a heart attack at the wheel but that is so far unconfirmed.
The Greensboro show on Sunday will still go ahead.
