Janet Jackson has spoken openly for the first time about how her brother Michael Jackson was a drug addict.
In an interview with Robin Roberts from ABC, Janet stated that the family tried to stop Michael’s addiction on a number of occasions. "Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can't just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times. We weren't very successful,” she says.Janet blames Dr. Conrad Murray for the death of her brother. "I think [Dr. Conrad Murray] is responsible,” he said. “He was the one administering."
While she is convinced Michael was an addict she is not so sure Michael realized his addiction. “I felt that he was in denial," she said.
The interview will air on ABC’s ‘In The Spotlight’ tonight at 10pm.
