Echo & The Bunnymen Have Trouble With US Taxman

Echo & The Bunnymen have cancelled their upcoming US tour because of a dispute with the IRS.

The band were due in the US this month but have cancelled the tour stating, “this is due to unreasonable demands presented by the IRS for the band to enter the USA to tour”.

The band denies that there were VISA issues as stated by some websites.

Echo and the Bunnymen expect to resolve the situation with the IRS soon and say they will be back on US soil to tour “from East to West coast in April 2010”.

Echo and the Bunnymen will be in Australia for Laneway in January.
