Noel Gallagher is fed up with living in London and wants to move back to Manchester.
Gallagher is returning to his roots and moving back to Manchester after getting fed up with London. The former Oasis guitarist said the capital had 'lost its spark' and he was planning to head back to his native city.
Speaking this week at the Music Industry Trusts' Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, he said: 'I'm leaving London to go back up north, to Manchester.
"I've been advised to do a Rod Stewart, as in a tax exile, but I don't want to do it. But London has lost its spark.'
Noel, 42, was born in Longsight, Manchester but has lived in London for 15 years, after moving down there just after Oasis's initial success with their debut LP Definitely Maybe in 1994.
He quit the band on 28 August this year following an argument with brother and lead singer Liam before a gig in Paris.
