The post mortem into the death of Boyzone singer Stephen Gately has revealed that he died from fluid on the lungs.
The 33-year old singer was found dead at around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon at his house in Majorca, Spain.Gately had spent the night on an all night drinking binge with his husband Andy Cowles and Georgi Dochev, a man they befriended at a nightclub in Majorca.
The three men went back to Gately’s house at around 5.30am. Seven hours later, Gately was found dead by Cowles.
The other members of Boyzone flew to Majorca when they heard the news but have returned to Dublin. They will fly back to Majorca to accompany the body back home.
Boyzone reformed only last year and were working on a new album.
The official post mortem states Gately died from a pulmonary oedema, an accumulation of fluid of the lungs.
