The new Michael Jackson song `This Is It` was out for less than 24-hours and has already hit a controversy.
Singer Paul Anka says he co-wrote the song ‘I Never Heard’ with Jackson in 1983 for his album ‘Walk A Fine Line’ but it wasn’t used.Anka then gave the song to Puerto Rican singer Safire who recorded it in 1991 but it wasn’t a hit.
When he heard the Jackson song ‘This Is It’ he claimed it was the same song with a different title and the Jackson estate agrees.
Without arguing the accusation, the Jackson estate gave Paul Anka a co-credit on the song as soon as he threatened to sue.
The song was officially released as a download yesterday and will be featured in the movie ‘This Is It’ later this month.
