Rap star Ms Dynamite has been injured in a collision with AC/DC singer Brian Johnson while filming the UK TV series 'The Race'.
The new reality series for UK's Sky TV pits celebrities like Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost, Melissa Joan Hart, and Gary Numan against each other in a battle-of-the sexes car racing competition hosted by David Coulthard and Eddie Irvine. The top six drivers were selected for the finale at Silverstone.Agence France-Presse reports that during the filming of the final race, AC/DC belter Brain Johnson's wheel clipped the car of UK rap sensation Ms Dynamite at 160 km/h, causing her to spin out of control down the track for 50m. A Sky spokesman said, "It was quite a violent collision but the paramedics were straight on the scene."
Although she was conscious and speaking, Ms Dynamite (real name Niomi McLean-Daley) was still airlifted to nearby Northampton General Hospital. It's reported that she has not sustained any serious injuries and was shifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for observation.
