Thom Yorke Enlists Flea and Nigel Godrich For Live Band

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has put together an unlikely group of musicians to perform his solo material in LA.

In a posting on Radiohead’s blog, he says the new band consists of himself, Flea (from Red Hot Chili Peppers), Nigel Godrich (who has produced, amongst other things, Radiohead), REM/Finn Brothers/Beck drummer Joey Waronker and multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco.

The band is just a live one and has no plans to record, but fans in Los Angeles can check them out on October 4 & 5 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Joining them at the gigs will be Lucky Dragons.
