At a recent press conference with President Obama, a rare informal recording of the president and journalists chatting was leaked where Obama referred to Kanye West as a “jackass”.
The general public might not realise it, but there is often a lot of small talk that goes on before and after interviews and press conferences and it is often where the subject is at their most relaxed and natural state.A journalist, identified only as “Joe” asked the President, “Were your girls as hacked off as mine were when Kanye gave Taylor Swift the Jo Wilson treatment?”
Obama’s response was “I thought that was really inappropriate. She’s getting an award! I’m thinking, why are you butting in? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she’s getting her award. What’s he doing up there? He’s a jackass.”
He then plays down what he just said saying “Go easy on the President,” and adds “Last time there was the fly thing,” in reference to when he swatted a fly and PETA send him a “humane fly catcher”.
I don’t know about you guys, but I like a president that calls a jackass a jackass.
