`Backspacer`, the 9th studio album from Pearl Jam, was easily the biggest selling album in Australia last week.
‘Backspacer’ pushed Muse ‘The Resistance’ back a space after shifting 19,294 units into homes compared to Muse with 12.569 in its second week on sale.The new Pearl Jam album is the bands first independent release. The album came out in September on its own Monkeywrench Records label.
For ‘Backspacer’, Pearl Jam reconnected with producer Brendan O’Brien who they last worked with in 1998 in the ‘Yield’ album.
They begin their Australian and New Zealand tour on November 14 in Perth.
