Three Julian Lennon albums released on Atlantic Records in the USA and long out of print will be reissued in September, one day before The Beatles albums, featuring his dad John Lennon are released through EMI.
The three Julian albums on the way back are ‘The Secret Value of Daydreaming’ (1986), ‘Mr Jordan’ (1989) and ‘Help Yourself’ (1991).‘The Secret Value of Daydreaming’ was the follow-up to his debut ‘Valotte’. It was produced by Phil Ramone and featured Billy Joel on piano.
For ‘Mr. Jordan’ he teamed up with Madonna’s producer Patrick Leonard. It featured a minor hit in the Bowiesque ‘Now You’re In Heaven’ and featured guests Timothy B. Schmit, Peter Frampton and Fee Waybill.
‘Help Yourself’ was Julian’s final Atlantic album. He had a hit with ‘Saltwater’ off that one. The album featured guest Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile. It also featured an uncredited appearance by George Harrison on guitar.
Julian hasn’t released a new album since ‘Photograph Smile’ in 1998. His next album, titled ‘Everything Changes’ will be released in 2010.
