Britain's first and finest female pop star Alma Cogan, who died at the youthful age of 34, was outed by her sister just after the 40th anniversary of her death in 1966.
Lennon supposedly had an affair with Cogan while he was married to Cynthia, mother of his son Julian.Sandra Caron, the sister, told The Daily Mail, "'I knew about Alma and John, of course, but it was something no one admitted because John was married. We had a very strict Jewish upbringing and my mother would never have approved of a relationship between Alma and a married man.'"
Cogan died in 1966 after her body was ravaged with cancer.
