Melbourne band Blackchords have chosen the Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne for a showcase performance for their self-titled debut album.
The theatre show will be a different show for Blackchords, with True Live’s Tamil Rogoen joining them on violin and Tim Blake with cello.The shows will be a rare chance to see Blackchords perform before they head to Europe in September. They were one of the bands due to perform at Popkomm but will stay committed to the European tour.
Blackchords received an international recently when they came in third place for Best Music Video at the International Songwriting Competition.
Nick Lovell and Matheson will also perform on the bill.
Tickets are $12 presale and $15 on the door.
The show is on Friday July 17th.
