Last night in London (July 4), Madonna adjusted her Sticky and Sweet show for a tribute to Michael Jackson.
Jackson was going to be the act following Madonna at the O2 Arena. He was due their next week. It was her base this week.As her dancer dressed as Jackson moonwalked to ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Wanna Be Starting Something’ Madonna said “Alright people, lets give it up to one of the greatest artists the world has ever known. Michael Jackson. Long live the King,” she told her audience.
In a statement after his death, Madonna commented:
"I can't stop crying over the sad news.
I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!
My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
