R.E.M. have a live album on the way, coming from their five night residency at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre in 2007.
The album features tracks from their “working rehearsals,” as they were called. So-named because they were literally working out the creaks in their then-upcoming album ‘Accelerate’ in front of a live audience.According to R.E.M.’s official website the live record is more than “just the music,” although it doesn’t give any hints as to what the extra goodies are going to be.
The album will be out later this year, although there is no release date scheduled as of yet.
