Simon and Garfunkel surprised fans yesterday in the Yarra Valley outside Melbourne when they performed for the victims of the recent Bushfires.
The event put on by Andrew Forrest and Linfox raised a further $660,000 for people from the bushfire area.Simon and Garfunkel joined golfing superstars Greg Normal and Chris Evert as well as the Premier of Victoria John Brumby at the function.
Premier Brumby announced a further $15,000 will be given to the victims in addition to the $50,000 in payments already made.
Simon and Garfunkel are nearing the completion of their first Australian tour in almost 30 years. They have two more shows before they complete the tour.
