Janet Jackson came on stage at the end of the BET Awards in Los Angeles overnight to thank fans for their support.
Janet and Michael Jackson’s father Joe earlier walked the red carpet at the event but Janet was a surprise.She have a short speech saying, ““My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, and they elected me to speak to all of you ... To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, and thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much.”
The BET Awards turned into a tribute to the late Michael Jackson who died at his rented home on Thursday.
The show opened with New Edition doing Michael’s ‘ABC’ and ‘The Love You Save’.
Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx ended the show with ‘I’ll Be There’.
