My Chemical Romance's 'The Black Parade' sold around 240,000 this week in the USA, about 40,000 units less than the Disney soundtrack.The TV show Hannah Montana screens on Saturday mornings in the USA. The soundtrack features music by Jesse McCartney.
My Chemical Romance's album 'The Black Parade' debuted at number one in New Zealand and Chile and number two in the UK and Mexico. Their last album 'Three Cheers For Revenge' sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.
'The Black Parade' is a concept album, borrowing musical ideas from Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Queen and Alice Cooper. "We all have records that shaped our formative years," says bass player Mikey Way. "When you hear a song, it shoots you back to a moment in time. We want this album to do that for people."
