U2's best of album "U218 Singles' is being mooted as the first single disc to span the band's career from 'Boy' (1980) to 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb'. It's just missing a few minor things ... like anything from the 1980 'Boy' album or the second album 'October'.
'U218 Singles' is also missing a good chunk of the band's 90's output. Also Missing In Action are any tracks from the 1993 album 'Zooropa' or the 1997 album 'Pop'.The Australian and UK versions of the album may get away with the claim as "I Will Follow" will be included as a bonus track, but in what sounds like some sort of Irish joke, that makes the album U219 instead of the titled 18.
The album does however have a healthy smattering of songs from 2000's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' (four tracks) and 1987's 'The Joshua Tree' (three tracks).
It also includes the two new tracks 'The Saints Are Coming' (with Green Day) and 'Window In The Skies' recorded in September at Abbey Road by Rick Rubin.
