Britney Spears is heading to the big screen.
The 'Womanizer' singer - who is currently performing her 'Circus' world tour - is in talks to star in 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton', which is set during World War II.The National Ledger website reports: "If she accepts the role, Britney will reportedly play the main role of Sophia LaMont, who creates a time machine and travels back to World War II where she meets a Jewish man called Eton at a concentration camp."
In the film, the couple fall passionately in love and decide to try to return to Sophia's time in order to marry.
The film is set to start shooting when Britney, 27, finishes the second part of her North America tour in September.
No further details about the movie, such as its director, are currently available.
If the movie goes ahead, it will not be the first time Britney has tried her hand at acting.
The mother-of-two enjoyed success with her 2002 movie 'Crossroads' and was in negotiations to star as Daisy Duke in 2005's 'The Dukes of Hazzard', but the role went to Britney's pop rival Jessica Simpson.
Last year, she received rave reviews after making two cameo performances in US TV show 'How I Met Your Mother'.
