The album Calvin Harris “lost” at an airport is being prepped for release.
Harris admitted to lying about losing the album, now titled ‘Ready For The Weekend’, when he was running late with the production and wanted to buy some time with his record company.It worked. The fib gave Harris time to tidy up the lose ends and polish ‘Ready For The Weekend’ to his liking.
“What I’m into at the moment”, says Harris in a media release, “is the idea of stadium dance. Playing football stadiums with massive riffs, big hands-in-the-air moments.”
The album follows his two recent hits ‘Dance Wiv Me’ with Dizzee Rascal and ‘I’m Not Alone’.
He now ‘Ready For The Weekend is a good example of pop song meets piano house record, it’s my favourite thing I’ve done so far.”
Sony Music will release the album on August 21, 2009.
