Pearl Jam will not be releasing their new album ‘Backspacer’ exclusively through one retailer. In fact, it will go via many.
Earlier this week I ran the story about the new album ‘Backspacer’ being exclusive to Target. Not so says the PJ crew.Pearl Jam publicist Sarah Seiler set the story right for Undercover. “I wanted to drop a line about your recent piece on the Pearl Jam/Target partnership,” she writes. “To clarify your story ? while Target is confirmed as the “big box” partner for the band’s new album, they are just one of several retailers that will carry the record come release date. Pearl Jam has not “sold the exclusive rights to the release of their next album” to Target , the music will also be available for purchase via independent record stores, online outlets, mobile partners and the band’s own Ten Club”.
Pearl Jam debuted the first song ‘Got Some’ on the Tonight Show this week.
