The bookies were wrong. Susan Boyle, the hot favorite for this years Britain’s Got Talent reality show did not win the content. She came in at second place.
The winner of the show this year was dance troupe Diversity.Boyle returned to perform ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, the same song that won her the hearts of the world less than 2 months ago. That in itself as a mistake. The first time surprised us all. This time, it was just a repeat. She should have chosen a different song.
Her performance made her an international sensation. Her international fame was immediate and generated appearances for her on Oprah and Larry King.
The video of her performance is now the 5th most viewed video ever on YouTube.
Bookmakers had Boyle at 10-11 odds yesterday but it didn’t happen. The judges can really pick who they want and at the end of the day an easier to control girl group was probably what swayed the decision.
Susan will still get a record deal, you can bet on that. She will get a world tour and she will get a career in the music biz. In fact, most likely Susan will have a much longer career Diversity.
Diversity won 100,000 pounds, a recording deal with Cowell’s record label and will get to perform before the Queen.
