San Diego based sing-songwriter Steve Poltz has been christened with a new name in Australia. Everyone calls him Poltzy.
In a posting at his website, Poltzy says, “Everyone in Australia calls me Poltzy. ?"Hey Poltzy G'day! How ya goin' mate?" I like it. I could just do kids records and call myself Poltzy. I'll sell hundreds.”Poltzy found his fortune a year ago after Jewel found her fame. He wrote her big hit ‘You Were Meant For Me’.
He has since toured Australia 8 times and is finishing up a tour with Bob Evans as we speak, before immediately heading back around Australia with Gregory Page.
