Mark Geragos, the lawyer representing Chris Brown and whose past clients include Michael Jackson, issued a statement in defense of alleged Rihanna basher Chris Brown today.
Geragos was responding to a complaint by paparazzi photographer Robert Rosen who claims he was assaulted by Brown’s bodyguard when he tried to photograph the alleged thug popstar at a gym."This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday. He’s done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this," the statement read.
Rosen claims Brown’s bodyguard picked him up by his shorts and physically assaulted him. Rosen claims he was “severely injured and disabled, both internally and externally, and suffered extreme emotional distress.”
The incident is alleged to have happened at LA Fitness at Universal City in March.
Brown was arrested for the bashing of Rihanna on February 8. The case is yet to be heard in court. The singer could face up to five years in jail if convicted.
