Michael Jackson has delayed the first few dates of his massive English residency.
The singer pushed the first show on July 8th back by five nights, but the three following dates won't take place until March next year.Concert promoter AEG Live said Jackson and his creative director Kenny Ortega prompted the delay of the This Is It UK tour at London's O2 arena, to give them more time for dress rehearsals.
In a statement, AEG Live president, Randy Phillips, said: "Kenny and Michael are, at the same time, both creative pioneers and perfectionists.
"This show has grown in size and scope, thereby necessitating more lead time for manufacture of the set, programming the content for the massive video elements, and, most importantly, more time for full production and dress rehearsals."
Full refunds are being offered to fans who cannot make the re-arranged concerts.
The affected dates are as follows:
8 July - moved to 13 July, 2009
10 July - moved to 1 March, 2010
12 July - moved to 3 March, 2010
14 July - moved to 6 March, 2010
