Japanese pop-princesses (don’t tell Shiina Ringo) Shonen Knife are back with a brand spankin’ new album ‘Supergroup’.
The band released ‘Supergroup’ in their homeland of Japan last year, but it will finally get an Australian release this year, and a tour is expected to be announced to go along with it.This will be the band’s 15th album since 1981. In the last 28 years they have toured with Sonic Youth and Nirvana and even once appeared as a Ramones tribute band named The Osaka Ramones.
The last time they hit Australian shores was as part of the 1997 Big Day Out tour in support of the album ‘Brand New Knife’.
