Kanye West may be heading to the Glastonbury stage.
Kanye West is set to play the Glastonbury music festival. The 'Love Lockdown' star is planning to make a guest appearance with protege Mr. Hudson at the world-famous British music event in June - even though he doesn't believe rappers should perform at the festival.
Mr. Hudson - whose new album 'Straight No Chaser' was co-produced by Kanye - told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "We're going to do the festivals together and we're looking forward to that.
"Glastonbury will be huge. Kanye doesn't really do mud or rain but I hope he will be with me. I think there's a good chance." Kanye - whose close pal Jay-Z controversially topped the bill at Glastonbury last year - confirmed he is hoping to perform at the Somerset event, even though he believes only rock acts should be booked.
He said: "We've toured together a lot so it's a real possibility. "I do agree with the idea you have to play guitar or some other kind of instrument at a festival. Hudson is a truly talented singer and performer who plays guitar and piano.
"You can take his record all the way to the festivals." Kanye is a keen supporter of British music and after helping Estelle revive her career with their hit 'American Boy' last year, he is keen to work with more UK acts.
He explained: "I've always liked the UK and I've always taken a lot of my style and energy from the UK and UK bands. "This is my way of giving something back by supporting these artists. I will definitely have a place in the UK eventually."
